The Seminar

The Capricorn Professional Development Series brings together industry professionals who, in the unique setting of Capricorn Sound Studios, provide educational resources to artists, music business professionals, students, and others who are looking to expand their skills and knowledge.

The Spring 2024 Professional Development Series program focuses on Entertainment Law, which is a dynamic area of law that draws upon intellectual property, contracts, and labor law.

Our presenters for this day-long seminar have decades of experience in various aspects of entertainment law. Following an introduction to the scope and breadth of entertainment law, the presenters will spotlight critical copyright issues and highlight important trademark concerns. The seminar will also feature elements of a songwriter/artist contract and elements of an entertainment contract for performance. A simulated negotiation will conclude the seminar.

Registration fee for the Entertainment Law Seminar is $99, which includes all sessions and tours of the studio facilities and Capricorn Museum.

The seminar is limited to 80 registrants, so be sure to register today!
